This committee focuses on the economic and financial development of the Park Heights Community and the surrounding area.
The committee hosts events such as the Financial Fortitude Expo, which allows members of the community to gather information about saving, investing, budgeting, home financing, and other financial information.
The committee also partners with Habitat for Humanity to help bring information to the community about purchasing homes, then helping the new owners in the process of building a new future. On May 5th the Baltimore Alumnae Chapter and Lowe’s teamed up for National Women Build Week.
The Economic Development Committee of the Baltimore Alumnae Chapter also partners with the Zeta Epsilon Chapter of Coppin State University with their signature event Backpacks to Briefcases. This event helps current Juniors and Seniors with resume writing, interviewing skills, how to get out of student loan debt, and other important economic and financial information that every college student should know.
