The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), commonly called the
Affordable Care Act (ACA) or “Obamacare” is a United States statue signed into law
By President Barack Obama on March 23, 2010. The law makes preventive care,
which include flu injections, more accessible and affordable for many Americans and will
be implemented on January 1, 2014. Prior to this new law, the Physical and Mental
Health Committee partnered with the Baltimore City Health Department to provide Flu
injections at our Delta Center. Because of this new law, we will no longer provide this
service and will refer all interested persons seeking free flu injections to theBaltimore
City Health Department (BCHD) website: http://baltimore health.org/flu.html. Click on

BCHD offers free flu shots and flu mist at our regularly scheduled immunization clinics
Monday through Thursday. Check our TIKE IMMUNIZATION CLINIC SCHEDULE for the
