    M.A.D. Girl Conference

    Baltimore Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. presents the M.A.D (Make a Difference) Girl Conference, a signature event within our award winning Delta Academy youth program.  The event is an invite only activity for over 125 African-American girls in the Baltimore area.  The Conference aims to help young ladies ages 11- 17 make better choices earlier in life that not only shape their future but make a difference in the world.

    Baltimore Alumnae hosts several other Delta chapters at the Delta Community Center for this one-day event. Past topics covered include self-esteem, money habits, social media, bullying, healthy eating, and STEM activities. Past conference speakers included, Kimba Smith, Baltimore City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby, actress Bresha Webb, NAACP Award Winner Sherri Booker, and others!

    The 2016 M.A.D Girl Conference will take place on Saturday, January 16, 2016.  The theme of the 2016 conference is Full S.T.E.A.M Ahead, focusing on careers in science, technology, engineering, arts and math.
